Property Description

Your gîte (5 gîtes totally) is situated in a 10-acre park at the edge of the village of st. Agnan. The estate has a private fenced swimming pool with sun chairs (12 m x 6 m and equipped with a splash-alarm for little children). The landscape of the park is a combination of lawns, formal box-wood hedges, woodland, fields and meadows. In our park you will find an impressive variety of special trees like sequoia?s, a tulip tree and centuries old lime trees. The entire estate is walled. we offer the following free services: cot and highchair central washroom with washing machines and tumble-dryers billiards, ping-pong, volleyball/badminton, tree house, toys, child's bikes, tricycles, go-kart and playground with a swing, trampoline and climbing frame pony rides

St. Agnan is a small village on the border between the périgord vert and périgord blanc, the village lies amidst a diverse and scenic landscape of woodlands, un-dulating meadows, rivers and lakes, against a backdrop of charming, peaceful hamlets. St. Agnan falls under the municipality of hautefort, home to one of the most imposing castles of france, le château de hautefort. This 17th. Century castle is famous for its architecture and splendid french and english gardens. The sights of the périgord are well-worth visiting ? the caves of lascaux, and the me-dieval towns of périgueux, les eyzies (cro-magnon man) and sarlat are all within a radius of 40 miles. The local ?office du tourisme? has set out various walks in the vicinity. Besides canoeing and raftingon the river auvézère, the area offers a wide variety of recreational facilities, including golf-courses, tennis courts, fishing, pot-holing, quad riding, abseiling and climbing in an adventure forest, and mountain-biking. We have 2 ponies for children to make a ride.
