Property Description

Grange farm is a spacious mid 19th century yorkshire stone farmhouse, well- furnished and full of character, and offers accommodation, for maximum 14 persons + cot. The house is excellent for families wanting to holiday together. the house has five bedrooms and two sitting rooms. One sitting room has a gas 'wood-burner effect’ fire; this room also has a tv, video and stereo/radio/cassette/cd. The second sitting room (we call it the yellow room) has a high vaulted beamed ceiling. The spacious dining room has an open fire. the kitchen is well-equipped. It has a large fridge, 110cm wide gas oven/cooker, microwave, and dish-washer. There is a utility room, which has a large freezer, a washing machine and tumble dryer. An iron and ironing-board are also provided. the dining room is next to the kitchen. There also is a conservatory, which gives entrance to a south facing fenced garden and patio with garden furniture and a barbeque. first floor: two family rooms (double bed and full-size bunk-beds), two twin rooms, bathroom/wc, separate wc. second floor: attic conversion (sloping ceiling), into and excellent double bedroom and en-suite bathroom/w.C. All the bedrooms have a tv and a washbasin. linen (duvets) is included. Electric, full gas central heating and hot water is also included. A cot & high chair are available. Private parking for up to 4 cars is next to the house.

Area Information

Grange farm is in the village of high hawsker, which is situated in between whitby and robin hood's bay, 2.5 miles from each, and is ideally situated to explore the area. A drink and a meal can be enjoyed in the hare & hounds inn, which is about 50 yards from the house; there is also a games-room that can be used by the whole family. The village hall, which is situated about 100 yards from the property, has a playground.
