Property Description

This 19th century schoolmaster's house is set in mature gardens, well wooded and lawned, above the picturesque village of ballyduff with views across the blackwater river valley. it has a comfortable living room, a dining room, and a library, all with open fires. The kitchen, which has a breakfast area, has an oil fired cooker, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. One of the delights of the house is the large south facing conservatory. The seaside is 30 minutes away

Area Information

The village has four pubs, two grocery stores, a post office, a hardware store and an acclaimed restaurant. Hill walking is available in the mountains behind the house. Fishing, golf, irish musicales and lismore castle are all within minutes. Traditional song, dance and storytelling evenings are held in the village booley house in august. During the winter months, be on the lookout for the ballyduff theatre festival. Several visiting groups also put on plays throughout the year, the druid theatre group from galway are regular visitors
