Area Information

Burgau is an old fishing village with narrow streets forming a jumble of pathways, with cottages, apartments and old village houses seeming to tumble over one another. Lately the village has been developed with low rise apartments on the outskirts of the village - but the centre remains packed full of character and is most definitely the 'real' algarve...But with all the amenities needed by the modern tourist - there's even an internet café.
