Property Description

This holiday home is located on a 9 acre hobby farm overlooking fields and a wooded valley, with wild-flowers, birds and wildlife - a haven for nature lovers! you can fish in the small river that runs at the edge of our property, and enjoy excellent golfing within a 15 minute drive. Apartment overlooks fields and woodland. This area is popular with bird-watchers - you can sit on the patio and watch the wild birds gather at the bird feeders. Hummingbirds visit our garden during the summer months. We have some small farm animals here, including breeding poultry, geese, ducks and friendly pygmy goats.

By car you can explore this beautiful area of southern ontario, which has great beaches, several wineries, great golfing, quaint villages and the weekly farmer's market at the nearby town of aylmer. We are a 5 minute drive from the town of st thomas, with its railway museum, statue of jumbo the elephant (who met an untimely death here in 1885). St thomas has all the charm of a small town and is a community known for friendly people, easy, inexpensive living in safe neighbourhoods with abundant, accessible parkland and community facilities. We are 10 minutes south of highway 401, 15 minutes from london (pop. 360,000), 1.5 hours from toronto airport, 1 hour from stratford and 2 hours from beautiful niagara falls. In 15 minutes you can be in the pretty fishing village of port stanley or the provincial park at port burwell, enjoying the peace and tranquility of some of the last remaining carolinian forest in ontario. Weekly rates: feb 6 - march 10 2007 $750.00, march 10 - june 2 $850.00, june 2 - sept 29 - dec 15 - $750.00
