Property Description

Charming restored cottage in the cher valley eastern loire. The cottage is situated in the hamlet of villeneuve, 5 minutes from the small town of preveranges which has a café and a baker. The market town of boussac is a further 10 minutes drive and has a full range of shops, including two supermarkets, restaurants and is also very pleasant to walk around. the cottage has been lovingly restored throughout. It features beamed ceilings and tiled floors with central heating and double glazing throughout. The ground floor of the cottage has a dining kitchen, living room, laundry room and ensuite master bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wood burning fire for those cooler winter months. Outside are mature landscaped gardens of over an acre with a 10m x 6m swimming pool. The pool is open june - september inclusive

Area Information

Villeneuve cottage is well placed for three beautiful regions. It is at the junction of the loire valley, bourgogne and the auvergne. The medieval town of montlucon is 40 minutes away with numerous excellent restaurants and shops, and has a beautifully restored medieval quarter with cobbled streets for those lazy wanderings and exploration.The airport at limoges is 1 hr away, whilst the gateway to the south of france, clermont ferrand is also an hours drive.
