Property Description

Woolpack farm cottage is the perfect place to relax after a hard day on the fells. It has all the luxuries to make an effortless holiday – from underfloor heating to impeccable décor. Sleeping 2-6, there are two double bedrooms and a twin room, plus two bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an aga, the sitting room is warm and comfortable and has sky tv. Outside there is a huge area for parking, playing and having bbqs (bbq provided). The views are stunning.

Eskdale is a wonderful starting point for hundreds of walks, either on the fells or along the banks of the river esk, which flows from scafell at the top of the valley down to the estuary at ravenglass, an old fishing village complete with a ruined roman bath-house! the river has natural pools for swimming and is a popular place for canoeing and for fishing. The famous ravenglass & eskdale miniature railway runs along the valley, its steam trains leisurely making the seven mile journey down to the sea.
