Property Description

Plum tree cottage: the ground floor consists of an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining area, so mum doesn't feel left out of the holiday and stuck in the kitchen. the comfortable lounge/ dining area has a log burner, some granite walls and exposed oak beams. the well equipped kitchen area has a door leading to a covered veranda. the 1st floor has a shower room and 2 bedrooms, a large double bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds both with granite walls and exposed oak beams. there is a separate patio with garden furniture, sun canopy and a bbq. la basse rouerie is a traditional breton farmhouse and longere that dates back 600 years in parts. it has two and a half acres of gardens with open views over undulating farmland. there is a private patio area for all 4 gites which includes garden furniture, sun canopy and a bbq. plus there is a communal patio area with a brick bbq, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the kids play. We have had many an enjoyable evening with a bbq and a few drinks. the above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard. It is heated and maintained at around 30-32 degrees. The pool is open from may - september. the gardens are the ideal place to either relax by the pool, have a picnic under a tree, or just sit and read a good book while sipping a glass a wine. there is a badminton net, swings, boules pit, swing ball, football net, and basketball net in the gardens, along with numerous games. in the covered veranda area there is table soccer and a darts board. the gardens are large and safe enough for children to play. just down the lane there is an 18 km patrimoine walk through lovely countryside. although we are in a quiet location, we are only5 mins away from the village centre with its bar-tabac- restaurant-shop. And only 10 mins from louvigne du desert with its, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. also nearby are attractions like mont saint michel, water and floral parks, walking and cycle tracks, trout fishing, horse riding, canoeing, kayaking, château's, and numerous places of interest. we are the ideal place for that weekend break, a house-hunting trip, that romantic getaway or that family holiday, group bookings are also available. there really is something for everyone in brittany.
