Property Description

Cherry tree cottage: (sleeps 6) the ground floor has an open plan lounge/kitchen /dining area, designed so the whole family can join in with the holiday. it is a bright sunny room with 3 large picture windows, exposed oak beams, it also has a log burner in the lounge area. this is a comfortable, well equipped cottage for 6 people. the 1st floor has a shower room and 3 bedrooms, 2 double rooms and a room with bunk beds all have granite walls and exposed oak beams. there is a separate patio at the side of the cottage, with garden furniture, sun canopy and a bbq, this leads to the shared pool and patio area. there are 4 cottages on site all named after trees in the orchard. la basse rouerie is a traditional breton farmhouse and longere that dates back 600 years in parts. it has two and a half acres of gardens with open views over undulating farmland. there is a private patio area for all 4 gites which includes garden furniture, sun canopy and a bbq. plus there is a communal patio area with a brick bbq, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the kids play. We have had many an enjoyable evening with a bbq and a few drinks. the above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard. It is heated and maintained at around 30-32 degrees. The pool is open from may - september. the gardens are the ideal place to either relax by the pool, have a picnic under a tree, or just sit and read a good book while sipping a glass a wine. just down the lane there is an 18 km patrimoine walk through lovely countryside. although we are in a quiet location, we are only 5 mins away from the village centre with its bar-tabac -restaurant-shop. And only 10 mins from louvigne du desert with its, shops,supermarkets and restaurants. also nearby are attractions like mont saint michel, water and floral parks, walking and cycle tracks, trout fishing, horse riding, canoeing, chateau's, and numerous places of interest.
